argues its case well as the place to be for London's trendy
set. A blend of metropolitan sophistication, serious wealth
(Hampstead and Regent's Park) and stark poverty (King's Cross).
Camden's diversity of wealth is also mirrored in its ethnic
make up. Over one fifth of the boroughs population is from an
ethnic minority, yet this cheerful mix of British, Irish, African,
Asian, Turkish and Jewish people just adds to Camden's wealth
of character. Architecturally, Camden is also highly mixed.
Council blocks dominate in the south, yet to the north, Victorian
and Georgian houses offer stylish homes for those with an income
